You've done everything right. You spent an evening comparing flights across three different websites, found what looked like the best deal, cross-referenced the accommodation on a booking platform, and paid in full. Holiday sorted.

Then the problems start.

The flight that wasn't what it seemed

The itinerary looked perfect online. But what the booking platform didn't show you was a better combination, one that existed all along, just out of reach of the algorithm. And when something goes wrong, the cracks really show. It's not universal, but when it applies, the difference can be extraordinary.

Take a recent example. A two-bedroom villa (the kind of property booked for a milestone occasion), was listed on the properties website at over $12,000. And they're reachable by a text message, not a forty-five minute hold queue.

The next time you find yourself down a rabbit hole of tabs, comparing prices that may not even be accurate, ask yourself: how much is my time worth, and am I actually getting the deal I think I am?
