Why Club Med is still my #1 pick for All-Inclusive Holidays!

And why you’ll love it too!

My Club Med Story

If you’ve known me for a while, you might know that I worked for Club

Med Resorts for nearly five years, and to this day, it’s still my top

recommendation when people ask where to go for a truly stress-free, all-

inclusive holiday.

Club Med Kani
Club Med Kani

During my time with Club Med, I was lucky enough to live and work at

some of their most iconic Asia-Pacific resorts: Club Med Bali, Cherating

Beach in Malaysia, Ria Bintan in Indonesia, and the stunning Kani in the

Maldives. I’ve also had the pleasure of visiting Club Med Phuket, where I

celebrated my 40th birthday with 15 friends. It was honestly the perfect

way to mark a milestone, and a great example of how easy and fun

group holidays can be at Club Med.

My job at Club Med (if you can even call it that) was teaching

windsurfing and sailing every day. I spent my days barefoot, in a bikini,

on the water, living the dream. The energy, the people, and the lifestyle

were something special, and that Club Med magic has stuck with me

ever since.

What Makes Club Med Different?

Club Med was one of the first resort brands to offer a truly all-inclusive

experience, and they still do it better than anyone else. What sets them

apart is just how much is included in the price of your package. When

you book a Club Med holiday, you can expect:

● Flights from major cities (included in your package)

● Airport transfers direct to the resort

● Stylish accommodation in beachfront rooms, garden bungalows, or

even overwater villas

● All meals and snacks, with both buffet and à la carte options

● Unlimited drinks, including wine, cocktails, fresh juices, and

mocktails for the kids

● A full range of activities, both land and water-based with expert

instructors

● Kids Clubs for children aged 4 months to 17 years, run by trained

professionals

It’s a completely stress-free way to holiday. No budgeting for extras. No

last-minute surprises. No decision fatigue. Everything is prepaid and

taken care of, so all you have to do is show up and enjoy yourself.

Top of My List to Revisit

If you or someone in your family surfs, you’ll want to put Club Med Kani

or Finolhu Villas in the Maldives on your radar. These resorts are located

in the North Malé Atoll, surrounded by some of the best surf breaks in

the world.

Nearby surf spots include Ninjas, Sultans, Honky’s, Jailbreaks, and

Pasta Point, each with their own unique wave styles and conditions,

suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. Club Med offers surf

packages with board hire, lessons, and daily boat transfers out to the

breaks, making it super easy to spend a few hours on the waves before

returning to the luxury of the resort.

For families or couples, this is a great option, one of you can surf while

the other relaxes in the spa, floats in the turquoise water, or joins a

snorkelling excursion. Everyone’s happy.

There’s Something for Everyone

One of the things I love most about Club Med is that there is genuinely

something for everyone, from high-energy activities to total relaxation.

Water activities include sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking,

windsurfing, snorkelling, and scuba diving (at an additional cost). At

many resorts, you can even try the flying trapeze or ‘wine’ yoga,

definitely not your average holiday activity.

Land-based options include tennis, golf, archery, beach volleyball,

fitness classes, and golf. Most resorts also offer daily yoga and wellness

sessions.

Kids are well looked after, too. The Kids Clubs are outstanding and cater

to every age group, from toddlers to teens. Parents can enjoy some

guilt-free time to themselves knowing their children are safe, entertained,

and having a blast.

For adults, the zen zones are perfect for uninterrupted relaxation. Think

adult-only pools, beachfront lounges, and cocktail hours with no kids in

sight. Every evening, you’ll find themed dinners, live entertainment,

cultural shows, and dancing, all included.

Perfect for Groups and Celebrations

Whether you’re planning a milestone birthday, a girls’ trip, or a multi-

generational family reunion, Club Med takes the stress out of organising

group travel.

When I celebrated my 40th at Club Med Phuket, what stood out the most

was just how easy everything was. There were no awkward

conversations about splitting dinner bills, no keeping track of whose

round it was, and no pressure to coordinate activities for a big group.

Everyone had the freedom to do their own thing during the day, relaxing

by the pool, joining a kickboxing class, or booking a massage, and then

we’d naturally find ourselves congregating by the pool in the afternoon to

try the cocktail du jour. No planning, no stress, just fun, connection, and

unforgettable memories. It was honestly perfect.

Need Help Choosing the Right Club Med Resort?

Every Club Med resort has its own personality. Some are better for surf

lovers, others are ideal for wellness or family holidays, and some feel

like private retreats for couples.

If you're unsure which one is right for you, I’m more than happy to help.

With firsthand experience across several resorts, both as staff and a

guest, I can guide you to the perfect destination for your style, travel

goals, and budget.

If you’re new to Club Med and not sure where to start, I always

recommend Club Med Bali. It’s close to home for Australians, super

family-friendly, and packed with culture, wellness, and fun. Right now,
